I'm qualified for the position because I've had 10 years' experience and I've served as the quality manager in their absence. I've worked in many different situations with many different outcomes, and I'm more than capable of leading a team.

Good answer! You do a nice job of qualifying yourself for the position based on your years in the industry and experience acting as the interim quality manager. If possible, include any specific credentials you have earned, and any industry-related training you have completed to further differentiate yourself from other applicants.
