As you applied for a role and prepared for your interview at Kimberly-Clark, you hopefully took the time to read about their cultural values on their website. If you did, you'd see that their mantra is they care, they own, and they act, all in the name of serving the consumers that use their products. Your interviewer wants to hear you understand how the organization can best their customer base.
"Consumer satisfaction first comes from offering value. The product must meet the consumer's needs in a way that the customer feels is worth, or even exceeds, the price they paid. Second, consumer satisfaction stems from outstanding customer service - when a consumer has a question, can they quickly get a helpful response? And third, customer satisfaction means anticipating consumer needs and being first to meet them in the marketplace - constantly testing products and learning as much as possible about our consumers' habits can ensure we know what they need, sometimes even before they do."
"There are many ways to ensure consumer satisfaction; however, I feel the top three ways are through top-notch customer service, investment in research and development, and consistently providing a product that solves a specific need. Ultimately, Kimberly-Clark's products need to make a difference in the lives of your consumers; your end users need to trust what you do when they have a question or need help regarding a product, and they need to be continually surprised with new products that continue to make their lives better."

This is a very open-ended question with no right or wrong answers, so respond with passion. You want to show that you have a strong knowledge of the range of products that Kimberly-Clark sells and a feel for how the role you are interviewing plays in the overall service for their customers.

"In the new digital age, information needs to be quick at hand for consumers to be satisfied. A robust product line calls for an innovative and up-to-date website, easy-to-access product instructions and even a useful app for the phone. Can you elaborate on how Kimberly-Clark is working to serve your customers in the digital age?"

Marcie's Feedback
That's great, but don't forget to talk about at least three ways you plan to ensure consumer satisfaction since that's what the question requests. One way might be to do your job to the best of your ability so the company produces high-quality products. Another might be to ask customers for their feedback so you can look to continually improve. Yet another might be to spend time determining the consumer's needs and pain points so you can address them properly. Build out your answer more to impress the interviewer. Good job!
