How effectively you manage your stress on the job stands to impact your performance in every way. Someone who has trouble managing their stress may make their stress known, allow it to impact the morale of the team, and suffer from task paralysis or task procrastination. Whereas someone who experiences stress and is capable of managing it will act decisively, continue to perform at speed, quickly and smoothly as possible, with continuous delivery. So when answering this question, share how you manage stress on the job, and how you take time to recover and to restore your emotional balance.

Here are some tips from one of EY's blogs on managing stress: "Take 5 minutes a day to write down what you are grateful for. Those who are accepting and happy with their current situation tend to give off positive energy. Write down your daily accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Spend time every day outside. Studies show that we need adequate amounts of Vitamin D and the being in the sun for as little as 10 mins a day helps build that vitamin D. Spend time every day doing something physical, go for a walk, garden, ride a bike. Set a goal to accomplish something significant. Build something, learn a new hobby, build your networks. Once you accomplish that goal, set a new one to continue your growth."
"Well, the first step to managing situational stress is to ensure that you aren't already carrying stress as a condition. What I mean is, control your own environment through effective time management and prioritize your wellness. I go for a bike ride through the forest every day as part of my morning routine. I eat well, meditate, and do yoga. I get sufficient sleep, dedicate time to my family and friends, and tend to all of my professional and mundane demands appropriately. In other words, I eliminate conditional stress, and that way when situational stress arises, meaning the unplanned or the unexpected, I just deal with the situation and get through it without letting my stress get the better of me."
