Would you describe yourself as a compassionate person?

Focus on ensuring the hiring manager understands you are a compassionate person. You can say you are a compassionate person, but giving an example of how you have helped others is a better way to let the hiring manager know. For example, you can describe your volunteer experience or how you took care of an elderly relative, helped your neighbors, or took someone in who was down on their luck. Give an example that shows your compassion for others.

Avoid saying you do not feel you are a compassionate person. If you say that, the hiring manager will determine you are not a good fit for the Cigna Internship.

"Yes, I am a very compassionate person. I have empathy and compassion for others and do not like seeing people down on their luck. I have volunteered at a soup kitchen that provides warm meals to people without homes for the past three years. I also volunteer at an animal shelter and take the animals for walks, play with them, and help clean their cages. I have compassion for animals and humans alike."
