Do you see yourself as a leader? When have you led a team?

Talk about your desire to be a leader. Focus on sharing with the hiring manager how you strive to be a role model for others. Explain that you jump at the opportunity to lead groups, encourage your counterparts, and be the face of the organization when challenges arise.

If you want to be considered for the position, it is best to avoid saying you do not consider yourself a leader. Cigna looks for rising students who want to impact the world. To do that, you must have leadership skills. If your leadership skills could use improvement, take a leadership course, watch videos on leadership, or read books about improving your leadership skills.

"Yes, I see myself as a leader. Not only have I managed a team in two prior roles, but I also believe that leadership does not always equate to management. I strive to lead at all times by providing the best model of enthusiasm and work ethic."
