I was handling inventory prep. We'd let our backstock grow lean to expedite the process. The following morning, we were expecting a massive shipment to replenish our stock. But the supervisor who was spearheading that effort could not come into work for that shift. The rest of our team already left for the day, leaving me to tie things up with inventory. When the news came, through there was no one for me to pass the baton off to. So I stayed and pulled two back-to-back shifts manning the restock. It was a lot, two enormous projects back to back, but with such little notice, it seemed the most logical course of action with the least impact on our operations.

This is another example of the interviewer giving you an opportunity to to advertise your accomplishments. Take advantage of this opportunity to promote yourself as a 'clutch-player'. The team is in good hands when you're at the helm. The best leaders step up to the plate and are first on the field.
