The interviewer is trying to determine if what he sees in front of him is actually the person you are in real life. Because appearances can be deceiving, he needs to know that you are committed to always putting your best image forward, particularly with a guest. A great first impression can go a long way toward making a sale or representing the company positively.

"I think that the sales process always begins with how you greet the customer. I try to have some 'pep in the step' and a warm smile to put the guest at ease. I also try to make sure that my uniform is pressed, stain-free, and my nametag on. A customer is always judging whether or not they can trust you by your appearance, so it is important to get it right. If you were to hire me, I think you would find me wanting to represent your dealership most positively."
