The interviewer wants to hear that you enjoy being a part of a team and that you contribute to the success of the team. Start off by sharing the last time you were a part of the team and describe the setting. Perhaps it was a massive project at work, or maybe it was on a sports team or volunteer group. All of these make great examples! Discuss how you made efforts to contribute to the team and be sure to mention how successful the team was!

"I volunteer at the animal shelter on weekends which requires a great amount of teamwork, especially when we have open houses. The public will come and check out the animals and hopefully put in adoption applications. We need to ensure the animals are all clean, happy, and ready to be adopted! This end-goal means we must maintain a positive attitude, making the experience great for those who come in. I will bring this same excitement and positivity to any team-based activity with Aldi."

"I'm currently a part of a team of five who travel to different stores to conduct full store inventories. We each take an assignment and have deadlines to get them done. My role as an individual contributor is to get my assignment done on time and to escalate any problems or concerns to my supervisor. I take the initiative on my team to check in with others from time to time to see how they're doing and if they fall behind, I try to help them get caught up if I can. I am also an encourager to the team. When someone is frustrated or getting tired, I try to give them a morale boost."

My last team endeavor at Wedevag was a product launch that involved working with my Swedish counterparts rather closely. Shortly after we took on the project, the pandemic hit and we all had to adjust on the fly. I oversaw communications with valued distributors who have a history of being excellent brand ambassadors with their end-users. Even with the unforeseen setbacks caused by the pandemic, we hit our goal for launch.

Chad's Feedback
This is a strong example to share, and showcases your ability to adapt, as well as work well with a team. Well done!
