The interviewer was to learn more about your experience and knowledge of ALDI stores. Since they operate a little differently than traditionally groceries or larger chain stores, it would be beneficial to visit an ALDI store in person or do some research online. If you have been to a store, describe what you liked about the store or what stood out most to you and highlight any positive experiences that you had. If you have not, be honest but explain what you've learned about ALDI through your online research.

"I've never actually been inside a store, but I'm familiar with the brand. Through my research, I learned that it's Aldi's mission to deliver great quality food at the lowest possible prices. I know friends who shop at Aldi and that's often their feedback as well. I'm hoping to visit a store soon so I can see the selection for myself and learn more about the Aldi experience."

"Yes, I have shopped at Aldi many times before and I am always greeted warmly when I enter the store and cashiers are always friendly and helpful as I shop and check out. The selection is always wonderful and, of course, the prices are unbeatable."

If you have a favorite Aldi location, mention that as a way to expand on your response. Alternately, you could describe the products that you regularly purchase from Aldi.
"There is an Aldi just a few minutes walk from my home. I am often there purchasing fresh and organic produce."

I became an Aldi customer about 10 years ago when I moved to a city that had one. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and loved the prices. I make a routine of going to Aldi first. If there is a specialty item I need that they don't carry, I can go to the other grocery store in town. But, I find that I don't need to that often. I am an Aldi fan.
