What would you do if a coworker asked you to help them steal?
Since Aldi is a retail store, theft by customers and employees is always a concern. The interviewer wants to hear that you are honest and ethical and to discover how you would handle this situation. Assure the interviewer that you would not participate in this type of behavior and illegal activity and would report it immediately. If this situation has happened to you before, use that as an example and explain how you handled the situation.
"I am sure that you have an internal policy for employee theft so I can assure you that I would follow the required steps to report the theft. I am a trustworthy person with a strong track record of honesty with my previous employers and would never engage in this type of behavior."
"I would never help a coworker steal anything, whether that was food, money, or otherwise. I would tell the employee that it's illegal and would tell them not to steal either. I would report this to my manager or HR immediately."

I would be horrified. I consider ethics of the utmost importance. I would be sad to have to get involved in something so unpleasant. But following company procedure in regard to that situation would be the only option.
