How would your references describe you?
The interviewer at Aldi is trying to learn more about your sense of self-awareness and how you feel others perceive you. Take a moment to reflect on your relationships with your coworkers, managers, teachers, etc., and areas you have received praise or recognition in the past. Consider traits and characteristics that your potential new employer might find appealing, for example, a team player, an encourager, reliable, honest, etc.
Instead of listing the qualities, tell the interviewer what each person has told you. These concrete examples will be sure to impress the interviewer!
"My professor would tell you that I'm always on time and was social and engaged in group projects. He would also tell you that I take pride in my work, am detail-oriented, and can take constructive criticism and improve from it. My volunteer director would tell you that I'm reliable and always serve others with a positive attitude!"
"My previous manager would tell you that I was a reliable employee, rarely missing work. She would also tell you that I worked well with a diverse population of customers and went out of my way to be kind and welcoming to those who entered our store. My colleague would describe me as a team player, someone who is always willing to jump in to help someone else!"
