"In my previous role, most of the vendors we worked with had been partners for several years. I knew many of them on a personal level and had great relationships with them. Generally, I knew exactly what to expect from them. However, from time to time, there were mishaps and miscommunications that needed to be dealt with. On one occasion, an important delivery arrived of the wrong product type. I was alerted the situation and checked my order to ensure I had placed the order correctly. I immediately alerted my contact for that vendor and because of our established relationship, they were able to quickly and efficiently correct the issue and get the product to us the very next day. For the next few weeks after that, I made sure to immediately confirm deliveries from that vendor to ensure all products were correct."
