Many university administrator positions require interaction with financial information or processing of money in the form of donations or payments for tuition, services, materials, etc. To prepare for this question, think about your experience handling any and all financial information or actual money. Consider time spent performing budgeting, accounting, processing invoices, handling purchase orders, purchasing materials or services, or processing payments in a professional capacity.
Describe your level of experience with managing financial information professionally. Include details regarding the amount of time you've held these responsibilities, the types of responsibilities you've held, and the scale at which you performed them.
If you have a lack of experience in this area be sure to provide an example of how you've managed a budget personally or have shown financial responsibility. This will help convince your interviewer you have the skills needed to handle this aspect of the role.
