"I started my career in car sales because I love talking to people and coming up with clever ways to pitch products. I ended up in marketing after working on a social media marketing campaign at the company I was doing sales for. There were a lot of similarities between product marketing and making sales pitches, but I loved that as a product marketer I'd be able to reach so many more people. From there, I enrolled in online classes with ABC University and completed my degree in Marketing and Communications."
Don't give a broad, cliche responses like, "I have always dreamed of having my own marketing firm." Be specific, and highlight your strengths and areas of expertise, especially those that are related to the job advert.
