Listening skills are important; interviewers want to hear you describe yourself as a good listener. Remember that your words should correspond with the impression you make on the hiring managers. Listen carefully to each question during the interview. Do not interrupt in the middle of the sentence; make eye contact and speak directly. Demonstrating excellent listening skills in the interview is more important than boasting about them.

"Judging by experience, I would say that my communication skills are very good. I have never had a problem explaining things to my colleagues while leading meetings at work, hearing critical feedback, or dealing with rejection. We should never be completely satisfied, and we should strive to improve on our communication skills since they are vital."

If an employer asks you this question, take it as a hint that they are expecting you to possess excellent interpersonal skills. Hiring managers look for employees who can speak appropriately with a variety of people while conveying information in a way the other person can understand.
