Question 12 of 30

As a Construction Superintendent, what is your greatest weakness, and what are you doing to improve?

"My greatest weakness as a Construction Superintendent is my lack of experience using Procore project management software. In my past jobs, the companies used SiteMax, Buildertrend, and ProContractor software. I see your company uses Procore. I found a video from Procore that teaches an overview of how to use the software. I also downloaded the instruction manual and have been studying that. In the short time I have been studying up on the software, I already feel more comfortable using the program if you choose to hire me."

      Focus Your Answer On

Focus on a weakness that does not interfere with your ability to perform your job as a Construction Superintendent successfully. Your weakness should relate to your profession but not hinder you from doing your job. For example, suppose you say that your greatest weakness is your ability to work well with others. In that case, you will likely be passed over for another candidate with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Do not forget to tell the interviewer what you are doing to improve your weakness, as that is part of the question.

Avoid mentioning a weakness that does not apply to your role as a Construction Superintendent. For example, you should not say your weakness is your cooking skills, as it does not apply to the construction industry.
