If you are applying to a firm and would like to be on a partner track, the leadership will be interested in knowing how you plan to build your clientele. They may be interested in knowing more about your networking skills and evaluating how you spend your time outside of work assignments.

"To support the community, I mentor young high school students to prepare them for job interviews. I also support an annual fundraiser by attending a luncheon and silent auction. I like to focus my energy on a couple of causes rather than attend every event. However, since I did not grow up in Cityville, I make an effort to meet new people at area business networking events. For example, I attend a few Chamber of Commerce lunches a year. I understand the importance of creating and maintaining a diverse client base within our community, and I look forward to supporting the firm's efforts in that area."
