Have you written a legal memo?

As an associate, you will likely be assigned legal memos to write on various questions that a partner may have. You should have been taught the general format in your legal writing course. You may have completed memos if you worked an internship or had other work experience before or during law school. Partners will use your memos to formulate their course of action on a particular issue. They will use your research and analysis to draft motions, petitions, or client communications. Use this opportunity to showcase your writing skills by explaining how you approach these assignments and that you understand how important they can be to partners.
