The types of cognitive programs you would enjoy implementing should be based on the clientele at the facility. Suppose you are applying to a memory care facility where the majority of the residents have Alzheimer's. In that case, your program will differ from that of a cognitive program at a retirement home. Research the facility before your interview to see what programs are already offered and suggest something different than what they already have.

After reviewing the activity calendar, I would add some word games and puzzles for the residents to participate in. This could include Scrabble tournaments or Words with Friends online, or even word searches and crossword puzzles that are circulated on a regular basis. If people were not motivated to participate, I might even add prizes to certain activities, as an incentive.
