"My passion for helping senior citizens stems from when I was a child. My great-grandmother was in a skilled nursing facility, and we would visit her at least once a week. The Activity Director would let my brother and me participate in the residents' activities; we were essentially allowed to play with them. I could see the joy on the residents' faces when young kids would visit and participate. I realized that I wanted to pursue this line of work so I could offer the same. It brings me great joy to plan activities that include young children and see the same smiles on the residents' faces. They have told me it makes them feel young again, and that keeps me motivated to keep helping."
