If a resident collapses during an activity, you need to assess their level of consciousness and determine if they are breathing and have a pulse. You must determine if the resident has a medical emergency and is injured and call for help if needed. The interviewer wants to hear that you have the basic first aid skills required for the position and remain calm under pressure.

"If a resident collapsed during an activity, I would stop the activity and rush to the resident's side to assess their level of consciousness and their pulse and breathing. If the resident were injured or having a medical emergency, I would call 911 and alert my staff of the emergency. I would provide first aid and CPR if needed while keeping the other residents calm."
