"The biggest difficulty that I have faced was my unexpected lay off during the last recession. I had to adapt to a new economy and search deeply for other skills and opportunities. I was able to earn enough to avoid financial strain and am quite proud of my ability to be versatile when required."

While working at the medical clinic, I once had a little boy who came in with a severe deep cut on his hand. His mother was very upset, and he was clearly in a lot of pain. Although we were in a medical clinic, I knew that our facility wouldn't have the necessary equipment to help treat the boy, and I proceeded to call an ambulance and keep his arm elevated above his heart. The physician on site later congratulated me and acknowledged that I had made the best possible decision in this scenario.

I have faced unexpected difficulties frequently in my current position, especially since COVID. The company is currently very short of certifying maintenance staff and some days as the Team Leader I am the only certifier on staff to carry out the overnight maintenance workload. I overcame this obstacle by effectively communicating with the maintenance planning and maintenance operation control teams to prioritize the workload. I give everything I have to the team to ensure we can complete the prioritized workload efficiently and most importantly, safely.
