"There have been endless breakthroughs in our industry; however, I would say the one that excited me the most was the Falcon 9, manufactured by SpaceX. I find it amazing that a partially-reusable launch system is in existence."

You'll want to offer the interviewer assurances you have a firm grasp, thorough knowledge, and genuine interest in the aerospace industry. All the more reason to go above and beyond in the extent of the research you perform before your interview. Whatever innovation you choose, avoid offering a breakthrough of one of their competitors; instead, limit your answer to the achievement of Nasa or SpaceX.

"My opinion on the biggest breakthrough is the reusability of rocket components. This has drastically reduced the cost of space travel allowing for more frequent launches and also making space travel more accessible for everyone."
