Rather than running from barriers that block our path toward meeting customer needs, we approach them head on. Talk about a time that you faced a challenge on the job head on. How did you overcome the situation?

"I really pursued a career as a Clinical Scientist because I love the challenges that I face on a daily basis in helping find solutions in the medical industry. A couple of years ago in my current position, we were lacking participants for a clinical trial that we were conducting. In hoping to provide some extra incentive, the first thing I did was approach our leadership about offering financial incentives. Next, my team developed a social media campaign to help creatively recruit participants. After just two weeks of the campaign and the offer for pay, we had more than enough participants for our trial."

"Working in marketing over my career, a common barrier that I have continually faced is limited budgets for leaders that have big plans for marketing. When this happened recently on a very limited budget, my staff and I had to be diligent about selecting very niche markets to focus on with the limited funding. To accomplish this, we conducted market research alongside the intake meeting with our leadership. Based on our research and input from others, we started targeting select markets with the budget we had with great success.
