What is your favorite Universal picture from the last 12 months and why?
This is one of the many questions the interviewer might ask to test your familiarity with their product line. Their ideal candidate not only needs to be a cinephile for the big and the small screen but also familiar with NBC Universal's output and their competition.
Offer more than one example. Keep your answer accurate and relevant. Don't just come up with a list, either. The interviewers want to know why it's your recent favorite. Describe the elements of the film that you love. For example, you could discuss the marketing of the film, the writing and cinematography, or the acting and casting. Keep your answer positive, and present yourself as an insider rather than a fan when expressing your enthusiasm.
It's not a bad idea to be aware of their upcoming projects, as well. Any trivia you can add to your answer might prove useful. Don't feel as if you have to list everything. Just be ready to share, should the opportunity naturally present itself. Overall, be your natural self.
"My favorite film put out by NBCUniversal in the last 12 months is from the Focus Features subsidiary, and it's 'Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain.' I'm a huge fan of Anthony Bourdain, like so many of us are. My favorite Universal Picture is 'Cyrano.' I've always loved that story, and I loved Peter Dinklage's take on the character."

Oppenheimer, I have already watched it twice in theaters, and it made me feel like the movies were back! The full theater, the cinematography, and Christopher Nolan just always create movie magic. I left the theater feeling a bit unsure about the state of the world. However, I feel that capturing the grey areas of people is not seen as much anymore in film, I liked that these characters were more complex than good or bad.
