In any hotel setting, there are multiple departments with their own staff. Your position will likely require you to interact with them each day. The interviewer asks this question to determine that you can work well with others and be respectful of managers from other locations. Reassure the hiring manager of your ability to cross coordinate with other departmental employees. Your ability to do so can become a wonderful opportunity to grow your skillset as an employee.

"In my previous job, I was in charge of purchasing, which means that I worked with every department in the hotel. I have no issues working with other managers or employees and helping them have the items they need to succeed at their jobs. There are procedures that have to be followed - requisitions and such, but most of the time, I got along with almost everyone."
