The safety of guests and employees is a sacred trust that every hotel company shares. The interviewer needs to know that you are a person who will be observant so that no dangerous conditions are allowed to exist. Reassure the hiring manager that you are aware of the need for safety and your ability to address concerns should they arise.

"I recognize that every hotel must provide a safe environment for its guests, both for legal and moral reasons. If I encountered an unsafe condition, I would work hard to ensure that it was corrected as soon a possible. If that was not possible, I would stand there and warn customers so that no one got hurt."
