I know I'm a direct person, and I like to get straight to the point, but that communication style doesn't work for everybody. I've tried to soften my message, so it feels warmer for those who are more sensitive and have a different communication style."

Focus on providing an answer that will not be a deal breaker for you being offered the job. Describe constructive feedback you received and how you are trying to improve based on the input.
