Avoid saying you are pursuing a career as a Pharmacist for the money and benefits or because you could not get accepted into another healthcare program. If you seem like you are only in this career for monetary reasons, the interviewer will feel you lack passion for the job. If you say that you could not get accepted into another healthcare program, the interviewer will wonder why you were rejected and question offering you the CVS Pharmacy Internship.

"I am pursuing a career as a Pharmacist because my grandmother had chronic medical conditions while I was growing up. I would take her to her doctor's appointments and the pharmacy to have her medications filled. I enjoyed seeing the collaboration between her healthcare providers and the Pharmacist, who always ensured my grandmother would not have any adverse effects from the various medications she was prescribed.
