In a retail environment, staff turnover is often high. If your co-worker did not show up for their shift, how would you handle it?

Some might snatch the opportunity to put in more hours, while others might shift their priorities for the day to take on two jobs at once, achieving more by working smarter instead of harder. It also could attest to how resourceful you are in overcoming the odds stacked against you. Assure the interviewer that you are a team player and are happy to step up and help out any way you can.

"I am more than willing to cover a shift for a co-worker if I can. I am a team player and don't mind accepting overtime hours."

"I'm in a position right now where I have plenty of free time, and my schedule is very flexible. As long as I'm available, I'm always happy to cover a coworker's shift if they can't make it. In the past, I've also volunteered to stay late to cover shifts that coworkers don't show up for, and I'd almost always be able to do that at Bunnings as well."

I have often worked double shifts up to and including 20hrs with the required breaks. So happy to help out as required.
