"Last week, I noticed that my manager had not completed the schedule for the following week. Some staff complained that they didn't have their work schedule yet. Rather than going to my manager with the complaint, I offered to take on some of her workload so she would have the time to complete the schedule. We worked together for a couple of overtime hours that day and were able to catch her up on everything. It felt good to help."

An example of where I went above and beyond would be doing tasks that haven't been tasked to me, and I decide to go out of my way, even in my own time break time, to eventually make other peoples lives less difficult and more comfortable, especially for the next person.

It sounds like you are a very helpful co-worker :) When the interviewer asks for an 'example of a time when...' they want you to tell them a very specific story-based example. With a specific example (not a general statement), the interviewer will be able to assess your behaviors, your critical-thinking skills, your problem-solving abilities, and more. I recommend taking the time to study and learn the STAR answer method. The STAR framework can be used for nearly all behavioral-based interview questions like this one, making it much simpler for you to form an engaging and detailed response. In my previous projects, there were times when my manager had struggled with time management especially in the case of attending meetings or grooming sessions. In those scenarios, I always stepped up by attending these meetings and grooming sessions on behalf of him. At the end of these meetings, I have listed the Minute Of Meetings, and respective responsible teams to perform various tasks and actions and shared all these details with my manager. I love helping my co-workers as I believe at the end of the day we all are working towards the same goal, which is building a perfect software or product which provides a great customer experience.
