"The care that a patient receives in this cancer center, from chemotherapy to radiation and surgery, are so vital to their care and recovery, but it's a reality that there is so much more available for them out there to help their quality of life and to help support them. I'm very familiar with support groups like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and TLC Direct, that provide cancer wigs, hats, and chemo scarves for patients undergoing therapy. Presenting things like these to patients shows that we care and gives them many of the things they need to remain positive and focused on their treatment. If I were fortunate enough to join this amazing team, I look forward to learning more of the resources and programs available to patients."
