Do you have event planning experience? What did you learn from this experience?
Whether in-person or virtual, event planning could be a major part of a marketing coordinator's job. When citing an example of a successful event that you organized, consider its size and impact. Describe your role thoroughly, and talk about why one would consider it a success.
"Over the years, I've been involved in numerous events. The most memorable one for me was a holiday party for 1200 employees. I represented the marketing department in the employee engagement team. During the planning stage, I put together concept boards for the party theme and took charge of the collaterals involved, such as the event poster, invites, other promotional items, and even the stage design. On the backend, I volunteered our marketing team to be in charge of the landing page for the event registration, as well as the menu selection. It was very challenging because we had to do the work on top of our daily tasks. I was on the phone with vendors almost every day to go over everything and negotiate prices. The planning took nine weeks in total. Overall, it was a very successful event. We had a turnout rate of 89%. The post-event feedback survey was also highly positive with a 90% satisfaction rate."
