When interviewing for a job, hiring managers assess what you want from a position and how well you may fit in at a company. Answer this question by mentioning a past project completed by the company to demonstrate you wish to go in the same direction. Review the job posting, company website, and social media pages before the interview to familiarize yourself with the work involved and services offered by the company. When you show an overlap between their projects, the requirements of the job you want, and the qualities and skills you already possess, you are demonstrating why you would be a great fit for the position. Mention the reasons this project seems so exciting to you and talk about how your experiences, background align with this type of work, if possible.

"A dream project for me would be the High Line Project in NYC. I read that your company contributed to early studies, historic research, and community design workshops. I had a chance to visit the High Line last fall and was inspired by the collaborative effort to reimagine the role public spaces have in creating connected, healthy neighborhoods and cities. I have some experience working on redevelopment projects in urban areas and would love to continue working in this space. Contributing to this type of project where the design team collaborates with the city, and residents and users are active participants in the process would be a dream project for me."
