When a hiring manager asks you about your past projects that were interesting, they are trying to understand the characteristics of your current job. This will inform them of some of your experiences, what you are capable of doing, and the skills you may have learned. Answer by providing an example of the most interesting work-related project you successfully led and completed. Do your best to provide an example related to the position you are applying for, i.e., involving some of the duties you will have to perform in this new role. The best predictor of future performance is past performance in a similar setting. If you haven't led a work-related project, be honest and describe a school-related project instead.

"One of the most interesting projects I have had the pleasure of working on was a city planning, redevelopment project. I found it so interesting because of the impact it had on my community. I also enjoyed working with the rest of the committee members. The discussions we had about the pros and cons of each step were inspirational. I think it was such a joy to be able to see a project from start to finish. I really learned a lot about teamwork, communication, and the importance of making and sticking to a plan. This was a very successful project and the client team was highly satisfied with the finished product. We submitted the project for an ASLA award and won the top city planning project award."
