Which issues are you the most passionate about?

Fundraising managers must excel at succinctly describing the mission and vision of their organization, and they must do this in a sincere, relatable way. Model this skill in your response: First, identify generally the issues you care about most. Next, explain why these issues matter to you personally. Finally, make the connection between your personal experience and the mission and vision of the organization for which you are interviewing.

"I am extremely passionate about the issue of wage equality, and I was drawn to your organization because of the important work it contributes to this area. As a child of a single mother, I saw how much she struggled to make basic ends meet despite being college-educated and working in her field for decades. Because of this, I dedicated my life to the mission of closing the gender pay gap; I know my fundraising skills can help your organization continue to work toward this end."
