"I began my non-profit career as an intern assisting the grant manager at a non-profit that provided shelter for victims of domestic violence. In that capacity, I researched potential grantors whose interests connected to our organization's mission and worked to determine giving capacity. The research I conducted contributed to the successful acquisition of over one million dollars for the organization. As such, I am quite familiar with the entire grant cycle from identifying appropriate grants to stewarding the relationship between my organization and the grantor. Combined with my management experience, I believe my in-depth understanding of the grant process makes me uniquely qualified to be successful in this role."
