"I always avail myself of e-learning opportunities that share new trends in fundraising and non-profit development. I investigate new software and assess the cost-benefit of pursuing new technologies that would enhance our fundraising activities. When I attend conferences, I always create a brief presentation to summarize important ideas to share with my co-workers and organizational leadership. I also share any relevant new contacts that can expand our professional network. By modeling initiative when it comes to professional development, I encourage growth among team members and offer them support by ensuring every possible resource is at their disposal. In the past, I have accomplished this by scheduling monthly e-learning workshops and making room in the budget for team members to alternate attending annual fundraising conferences. This approach has been well-received by team members in the past!"
