Example Answer

"Because of an increase in the need for utility assistance and temporary housing during the COVID-19 pandemic, our organization set about expanding its services. As a result, our board of directors tasked us with securing an additional 1 million for our annual goal last year. This was a huge assignment for a team of seven fundraisers. However, we met as a team and dug deep into our line items to determine how we could make small changes in the areas of foundational giving and grant awards, which had been smaller percentages of our overall fundraising efforts until that point. I asked our corporate and major gifts officers to devote an additional two hours a week to researching new grant opportunities and connecting with private foundations representatives. As a result, we met our board's assignment and were able to deliver critical services to the community during an especially trying time."
