"One aspect of consulting that I love the most is training my clients how to use the systems and workflows we incorporate once the project is nearly wrapped. Last month I spent three days teaching my clients team, consisting of 140 inside sales reps, how to use the Salesforce CRM we implemented. I started with a survey to assess the groups' average level of understanding, and I included survey questions on preferred learning style. As a trainer, I understand the teaching style that works for one person may not work for another, so I need to be fluid with my approach. I effectively orientated and taught the team how to leverage their new Salesforce system to optimize their time and boost sales conversion. I brought a high level of patience and used a simple teaching style since many people were entirely new to CRM systems. At the end of the three days, I sent out a survey asking the team to rank my training. The overall feedback was that I am very good at breaking down complex ideas and relaying them in a way that is easy to absorb. The client appreciated that I prioritized the learner's needs to make their onboarding a valuable and customized experience."
