The interviewer wants to know what types of claims-related programs and software you are well-versed in because it indicates your experience and expertise in the field. It also helps them determine how quickly you could adapt to their specific software systems and processes if you were to be hired for the position. Additionally, knowing specific programs and software could give you a competitive edge over other candidates who may not have the same level of proficiency. It's always best to be honest about your skills and experience, as it can help you and the interviewer make informed decisions.
Claims adjusters use a variety of programs and software to process and manage claims. Some common examples include claims management systems, document management software, and billing software. Other programs and tools may include database software, customer relationship management software, and communication tools such as email and instant messaging. The specific programs and software used may vary depending on the organization and the type of claims being processed. Describe what programs you are proficient in and explain how you learn quickly if you will be required to learn new software in this role.

This is a good approach. To finish up your response, I recommend asking a question related to their programs/software. I have offered an example below.

I have been working on Xactimate software since 2006. I have training through level 2 but my "on-the-job" experience is more advanced than that. I have also used Adjuster management programs such as Salesforce, Claimwizard, and the newest Organized Adjuster. These are platforms that keep each claim in order and on a "timeframe" in addition to allowing each adjuster to follow up and keep informed.
Marcie's Feedback
Awesome! It sounds like you have experience in multiple programs, which is great. Can you talk more about the 'on the job' experience you have with Xactimate? How exactly do you use it? You might also add at the end of your answer that you're a quick learner and tech-savvy. Nice job!
