If you were offered this position as a Band 7 Manager, what would you hope to accomplish in the first 90 days?

"Since I thrive on trust and respect, my top priority would be getting to know my team members and, in turn, ensuring that they know me. I would do this through well-run team meetings and bi-weekly 1:1 meetings with my team over the first 90 days. Another accomplishment I would plan for is partnering with leadership and my team to get a better idea of the more urgent issues. Then I would focus on creating a project plan to tackle one or two current issues, involve all stakeholders in the process, and gather all the information and data I can."

As a new Band 7 Manager, you want to ensure that you get acquainted with all of your staff, learn the formal managerial processes, and become enveloped in the culture of your new setting. Hopefully, some research into the organization you are interviewing with ahead of your interview will give you some insight on how to answer. By listening to your interviewer, you can learn about the culture and the company's operations and be able to give a great idea of a few initial accomplishments you'd like to make.
