"I often tell my clients to run their idea by someone who is not in the industry. Something that they believe makes sense or will be successful may not get the same reaction from someone who doesn't have the industry experience they do. It doesn't have to be anything formal, but it's a quick opportunity to make sure they think through different aspects of a project. I've found that has helped my clients as most have come back to me and explained small changes they made after having these discussions. While I am a legal advisor first, I like to provide added value to help my clients think outside the box."
