If you had to choose just one, what would you consider your primary technical specialty?
The interviewer wants to know your specialties, particular areas of expertise, and what makes you a unique candidate. Talk to the interviewer about your strengths and be sure to highlight any specific skills you excel at. It's a great idea to highlight particular skills listed inside the Zillow job description.

"I have been focusing my career on becoming a senior data engineer and would say that data pipeline architecture is my primary technical specialty."

Decoding complicated companies into simple and influencing decision-makers to allocate meaningfully to what others might see as "black boxes." As an investor, I have studied hundreds of businesses so I can readily distinguish between "evolutionary" and "innovative". I've been in and around housing for my entire career, I have well-established relationships throughout the industry and my passionate purpose is to help solve part of the housing puzzle that helps a platform like Zillow scale profitably over time.
I'm also a naturally curious and self-propelled generalist investor that has studied hundreds of different businesses so I can spot "incremental" from a mile away and my natural curiosity draws me towards quite interesting and disruptive business models.

Good start. It sounds like you have a lot of valuable skills, but think about how you'd narrow your answer at first to clearly describe your primary technical specialty which you could then develop into a more general answer.
