QUESTION 14 OF 30

Why do you want to work for Walgreens?

The interviewer wants to hear that you have researched their company. When responding to this question, highlight unique aspects of their company that stand out from others. You may want to work for Walgreens because of its stellar reputation, its opportunity for professional growth and advancement, or its mission and vision to help others.

Instead of giving a generic answer to this question, focus on showing the interviewer that you have thoroughly researched their company. For example, if you say that you want to work for Walgreens because they offer an internship program, that could apply to many other organizations. Instead, say that you want to work for their company because they are one of the best-known names in healthcare and retail, and they have a reputation for providing the most comprehensive internship program.

When responding to this question, you want to avoid saying that you want to work for Walgreens because they pay more than other companies. The interviewer will feel that you only want to work for their company for monetary reasons. Instead, describe your reason as being one that aligns with the company's mission statement, reputation, or company culture.

"I want to work for Walgreens because you are a customer-focused company that believes in offering exceptional customer service as your top priority. I also believe in putting my customers first while working my retail job. With your stellar reputation and is known as one of the top names in healthcare and retail, I cannot think of another company I would rather work with."
