QUESTION 25 OF 30

Are you willing to work evening and weekend hours?

One of Walgreens' requirements to work as an intern is to be available to work evenings and weekends. As a Walgreens Intern, you must be flexible and accommodating to the company's needs. The interviewer asks this question to see that you are a team player and dedicated to your internship.

Focus on assuring the interviewer you understand the nature of the business and that working evenings and weekends is part of the job. Let them know that you are flexible with your schedule and willing to work whatever hours they require.

If you want to be considered for the position, it is best to avoid saying that you cannot work evenings or weekends without explaining why. If you have a personal obligation, such as caring for a child or family member on the weekends or evenings, describe your situation to the interviewer and explain how you will look for help with your child or family member when you need to work. If you are honest in the interview, the interviewer will understand if there are some evenings or weekends you might not be able to work.

"Yes, I am available to work evenings and weekends when needed. I understand the nature of this industry and have no problem working when needed. I have a class I take every Saturday, but my professor will let me make up the class if I have to work."
