QUESTION 7 OF 30

How did you hear about this position?

Walgreens invests a lot of money advertising their job openings and internship positions. The interviewer wants to hear what methods are effective and which are not. They also want to hear if an employee of their company or a recruiter referred you. Describe how you heard about the position, and be sure to give the name of the employee or recruiter who referred you if applicable. Some companies offer their employees a referral fee when referring a candidate, while others hire recruiters to seek out qualified candidates.

The interviewer wants to briefly hear how you heard about the position. Be concise in your response, focusing on describing the recruiter's name, the website where Walgreens posted the job, the company website, or an employee referral.

You want to avoid forgetting where you heard about the position. Suppose you cannot remember where you learned about the job opening. In that case, the interviewer will determine that you do not pay attention to detail or might be applying to many other internship positions.

"I heard about this internship position from one of my college professors, Jane Levine. She has referred many of her students to your company for internships and had nothing but positive things to say."
