Tell me about a time when you had to use your attention to detail to stay focused on the job. How did you go about it?

You'll need to convincingly explain your process for proofing your work for errors. This will come down to a combination of technical skills and aligning all the necessary data to a conclusive result. Support your claim with a real-life example. If this is one of your strengths, offer examples of how your attention to detail benefited the team.

"There was a time where a coworker had me proof their work. I immediately noticed a discrepancy in the information they compiled. We examined it together, and we were able to determine that the error existed before they extrapolated the data from its source. Two numbers had been transposed. Digging deeper, we discovered this discrepancy was the source of another problem our management had been working on. Tying our issue to theirs, we corrected the course on two projects. All I did was notice the discrepancy and question it. Tracking it to its source and the directions it branched out to was more of a team effort."
