"First, I would let my manager know whether or not I'm available to stay later than my assigned shift if they need help covering for a worker who didn't show. I want to do my part to make sure my team keeps running smoothly, even in the midst of unexpected changes. I don't mind accepting overtime hours, and I always strive to be a team player."

Convince your interviewer that you would respond positively in the event a coworker did now show up for an assigned shift. It is important to avoid behaviors and feelings such as blame and anger while staying focused on finding a solution to the problem. Anonymous Answer

I see what is needed of me to get the team on the right path in order for me to be able to leave and have my quality of life continue without the undue stress of others. If need be I will stay longer, delegate jobs to remaining team members to collectively get the job done, and ensure everyone is set up for success.
