"I would say that my artistic knowledge about paint is a strength. Growing up, painting was one of my favorite things to do at home. My mom would routinely want to switch up wall colors and we worked on those projects together. I really enjoy painting and have a respectable knowledge of all the finishes and the differences between latex and oil-based paints, and the more volume solids in its composition, the better the paint. However, I would say a weakness of mine is that I have little experience in home repair projects. But I plan on buying a home in five years and would love to have a more comprehensive understanding of all our various products outside of paint. I learn fast, which is another strength."

HireVue's assessment model will analyze your verbal and non-verbal cues to evaluate your conviction, honesty, confidence, and the underlying message of your answer. Be honest and match your strengths with the strengths they value in their employees.
"Because HireVue is not directly involved in the hiring process, the company you applied to will follow up with you about their hiring decision or any next steps after you complete your interview." HireVue only aids in screening "unqualified candidates" from "top performers" and records your answers for a representative of the company to later evaluate.
The hiring manager compares recorded interviews of similar caliber candidates, and it's up to the recruiter to decide if they'll follow the algorithm's suggestions.
HireVue's interview builder defines a novice as someone who lacks curiosity in understanding the need for change. A person with an intermediate skill level or above in a particular category is someone who takes ownership of their setbacks, acknowledges their weaknesses, makes necessary adjustments, and admits to their mistakes. Instead of perceiving areas with room for improvement as weaknesses or debilitations, someone more experienced sees them as opportunities for growth. Someone who embraces a chance for personal growth is unafraid to share it, demonstrating their strength.
